How to disable cookies in the various browsers:

Internet Explorer

  1. Click on the Start button to open Internet Explorer, Type Internet Explorer in the search box and then click on Internet Explorer.
  2. Click on the Tools button and then on Internet Options.
  3. Click on the Privacy tab and under Settings move the slider up to block all cookies or down to allow all cookies, and finally click OK.

Firefox

To set Firefox to block cookies from all websites:

Google Chrome

  • _ga, Google, Performance, duration: 2 years. Used to differentiate users.
  • _gid, Google, Performance, duration: 24 hours. Used to differentiate users.
  • _gat, Google, Performance, duration: 10 minutes. Used to create objects for the Tracker.
  • _gac_, Google, Performance, duration: 90 days. It holds information for the user. If you have linked your Google Analytics and AdWords accounts, the conversion tags on the AdWords website will read this cookie, unless you disable it.
  • 1P_JAR, Google/Youtube, technical, duration: 1 month. This cookie is used to support Google advertising services.
  • AID, Google, Performance, duration: 2 years. Google also uses cookies called "AID", "DSID" and "TAID" that are used to link your activities on different devices if you have logged in with your Google Account. This will synchronize the ads you see on different devices and quantify any conversion events.
